Final 5E Lesson Plan Reflection

My initial response to the grade and feedback of my 5E lesson plan was that I ad
expected a bit lower of a grade (only perhaps by a few points) because I didnt think I was as
thorough as I could have been when I was writing the lesson. I do think that I can understand not,
after having taught, that your dont need a ton of details in the lesson plan.
The registering of the grade and feedback in this way would allow me to see what exactly
Im being graded on and the areas Im lacking in. When being graded Im looking for direct
feedback and percentages that clearly state of success of failure. Though when I am graded only
in numbers I tend to stress over what went wrong, thus written feedback gives me answers to
what I did wrong.
The registering of the grade and feedback in this way would greatly improve what Im
looking for when Im writing my lessons and gives me more direct feedback. I would prefer this
method in comparison when a professor does not explain why a grade was given as it was,
especially when it could be reused in teaching such as a lesson plan.
I think I registered the feedback with a growth mindset because I was already thinking of
how I could improve in the next lesson.
I think, from a student point of view, that thinking on which way I respond is not to important,
but as a teacher I see that those in a fixed mindset may struggle further when a grade is returned
and they think that their I no hope for them. I think students should be taught to think in a growth
mindset so they will always take it upon themselves to improve when possible.
