1. Run the program.

2. Input the keyword of channel shape cross section that you like to choose. Enter rec for
rectangular, tri for triangular or tra for trapezoidal channel section. If you enter an
incorrect keyword, please follow procedure No. 5.

3. Enter the following inputs for the chosen channel shape cross section. Another shape
chosen may require addition inputs than other shape. The list of inputs required for each
shape are listed below:

a. Rectangular

i. Enter the water discharge, Q in cubic meter per second (m3/s).

ii. Enter the depth of flow, y in meter (m).
iii. Enter the bottom width, B in meter (m).

b. Triangle

 i. Enter the water discharge, Q in cubic meter per second (m3/s).
ii. Enter the depth of flow, y in meter (m).
iii. Enter the side slope in degree.

c. Trapezoidal

i. Enter the water discharge, Q in cubic meter per second (m3/s).

ii. Enter the depth of flow, y in meter (m).
iii. Enter the bottom width, B in meter (m).
iv. Enter the side slope in degree.

4. The outputs of the software for all shape will be calculated and shown, which are :
a. The area, A of the channel cross section.
b. The velocity of the flow in channel.
c. The Reynolds number and its effect to flow.
d. The Froude number and its effect to flow.

5. Please enter 1 to perform another calculation or 0 to end the software. If your choose
to continue, please return to procedure No. 3.
