My name is Lucas Duran and I am currently enrolled in the Bachelors of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics program at
the University of North Florida anticipating a graduation date of April 27, 2018. I am seeking admission into the
University of Floridas Masters program for Healthcare Administration for distinct reasons. My experience in the military
and healthcare has grown into a passion to one day be able to serve the V.A. Hospital in an administrative capacity. In
my eyes, that could get an enormous jumpstart with acceptance into your program. After growing up 35 minutes away
from University of Florida I got to see and hear first-hand the academic level in which this institution operates and the
discipline it expects students to maintain.

Aside from having a desire for helping others in general, healthcare has been my field of choice for multiple reasons. In
an effort to gain as much experience as possible, past years have incorporated the following settings into my work
history; hospitals, mental health, hospice, home-health, sub-acute, skilled nursing, memory/dementia care, and assisted
