Title of Article: Intrinsically Embedded Signatures for Multimedia Forensics

Author: Adi Al Hajj Ahmad
Year: 2016

By reading the title, on can guess the topic included in this thesis is about embedded
signatures for multimedia forensics. This article mainly highlights two devices and how to
detect the signatures they leave behind. One being the Electric Network Frequency (ENF),
whose signal leaves an imprint and can be used to speak on the reliability and origins of a video.
The second is called a Flicker Signal. This signal can be detected more in pirated videos. The
signals can be picked up on things like a video camera recording something from an LCD screen.
Although there has been a lot of research on how to detect the traces left behind by these two
devices, there can still be a lot more research done to perfect the detections.

Displayed on the t-shirt was an African-American male eating watermelon and slaves picking
cotton in the background. The sorority printed the shirts for their upcoming formal after being
denied permission by the university. With only 7% of the undergraduate students being black at
Samford, they are surely in the minority. The chapter president and university president both
released apologetic statements following the scandal and the sororities leadership requested
the shirts be destroyed.
