those data. the collection of data is usually referred to as the database. this collection of data is

database systems are designed to manage a large bodies of information. management of data
involves the concepts of defining the structures to store that information and defining the
mechanism to manipulate the information stored inside those structures that are defined to store
that information. in addition to these activities, it is also mandatory to ensure the safety of the
information stored and preventing from the unauthorized access to the data stored inside these
structures. if the data needs to be shared between many different users, then the system must avoid
the possible anamolies results.

since the information plays a vital role in all the enterprises, computer scientists developed a large
number of concepts and techniques for managing that data. Let's start with discussing the principles
of database systems.
