HETEROGENEOUS MIXTURE

A heterogeneous mixture is made of different substances that remain physically separate.


Heterogeneous mixtures always have been more one phase.

The properties of heterogeneous mixture:

1. Heterogeneous mixture the substances are not in any sort of fixed ratio.
2. Another property is that the substances in the mixture maintain their own individual
properties
3. Heterogeneous mixture is the ability to separate the substances through a physical means

Examples of Heterogeneous Mixtures:

Mixture of sand and water. Sand is solid phase and water is liquid phase.
Smog is a heteregeneous mixture of various particles suspended in the air
Soil is an example of a heteregenous mixture that combines many different element which
are not uniform
