David Thompson was a fur trader, explorer and perhaps the greatest land geographer ever. He
was famous for his ability to navigate using the stars and land geographer. He was respected by the
Aboriginal people and they called him Koo=Koo-Sint, The Stargazer. Thompson was one of the
greatest land geographer ever lived. He mapped the most of western Canada, covered 128,747 kilometers
which make the two map-maker before him, Lewis and Clark, looked like traveler. Overall, David
Thompson was one of the greatest land geographer ever lived because of his contribution to North
America mapping.
