Instructions:

1. Install Word Viewer.


2. Extract the Entries and Index of the thesaurus into any directory.
3. To run the Thesaurus:

a. Open Word Viewer.


b. With Word Viewer, open the Entries file, then the Index file.
(Note: These bear the extension "RIT6." So in the "Open File" dialog
you have to select "Show All files."
c. In the Word Viewer menu, select "Window/ Arrange All."
d. Optionally: In the Word Viewer menu, select "View/ Document Map."

4. To search the Index:

a. Click on the Index window.


b. Press ctrl-F (for "Find").
c. Enter the word you wish to search for, preceded by an equals sign.
d. Press "Find next."

5. To search the Entries:

a. Click on the Entries window.


b. Press ctrl-F (for "Find").
c. Enter the number you wish to search for, preceded by an equals sign.
(Note: You can only search for the numbers that represent headings.
To search for a subentry--e.g., 33.7--first search for "33." Then
manually
make your way to subentry 7.)
