Oracle Linux Cluster on Cisco UCS Servers

Solution overview

The proposed solution consists two Cisco UCS C220 servers and Oracle Linux Operation System licenses
for implementing Linux Cluster for deploying Oracle Database in High Available Configuration. Each
Cisco server is equipped with Dual Port FC HBAs for connecting to existing IBM SAN storage.

There will be shared Logical Storage Volumes created and presented to both the Cisco servers to store
Oracle Databases.

1. Rack mounting Cisco Servers

2. Carryout POST on both servers
3. Upgrading server firmware
4. Connect Existing IBM storage with Fiber cables
5. Present LUNs to both Cisco Servers
6. Install Oracle Linux on both servers
7. Install and configure Linux cluster software both servers
