Manufacturying procces of a pencil

Step 1

The wood is cut leaving only its trunk for the production

Graphite

Rock drilling
It is brought to the surface where it is crushed
They are taken to floatation chambers and mixed with soapy solution and then dried

Step 2

When the graphite is in the company these are taken to a mixer which prepares a mixture
composed of graphite, clay and water.

Step 3

Once the mixture is made, it passes through funnels and the graphite takes on the appearance of a
mine, then it goes through a process of frying. Is immersed in molten wax and oil obtaining a
harder mine.

Step 4

The wood is molded into boards which pass through furrowing machines, leaving furrows on the
board.

Then the two boards are joined and between the grooves are placed the mines these are joined
with glue and are taken to an oven.

Step 5

In the oven, the union between the boards is ensured and then it is taken to the cutting machine
which gives the shape of the pencil.

It is coated with a non-toxic protective layer

Step 6

Once finished the product is subjected to engraving of marks, metal clamps and eraser, a
protective layer of varnish is applied and the product is finished
