This is a reference in support of Aimee Nguyen. I had the pleasure of working with Aimee for twelve
weeks when she was a student teacher in my classroom at Eisenhower Jr. High. I found Aimee to be
innovative, engaging, a great collaborator and genuinely interested in what was best for the students
she was teaching.

Aimee worked extremely hard to make all her lessons engaging for students; she was innovative with
her lesson planning and managed to create lessons to meet the state standards, individual learners
needs and keep the students interest. While in my class, Aimee worked effectively with a diverse
population of students, English Language Learners, Special Education students, students with trackers
and a variety behavior issues. She handled each student in a positive and encouraging manner. She was
at ease with the diversity and the students responded well to her.

Aimee was an advocate for students, taking extra time when needed to address school issues as well as
lending an ear when students needed an adult to listen to them. Aimee was an active participate in
grade level and department meetings where she added to the conversation and was involved in school
wide collaboration. As a team we collaborated on her lessons and she was willing and eager for
feedback and used the feedback when revamping her lessons.

In the time I worked with Aimee she showed herself to be confident, competent and creative. I
