Lamarckism- was proposed by a great French naturalist, Jean Baptiste de Lamarck. This theory
Is based on the comparison between the contemporary species of his time to fossil records.
Darwinism- By Charles Darwin, he made an extensive study of nature for over 20 years when he
went on a voyage on a ship and explored South America, the Galapagos Islands and other
islands.
Mutation- Proposed by Hugo de Vries in his book entitled Species and Varieties, Their Origin by
Mutation. He worked on evening primrose.
