This course integrates the principles of advanced medical and surgical nursing theory, pathophysiology, and pharmacology into high acuity nursing practice. | supervised this student in a high acuity medical/ surgical clinical practice setting including intermediate care and intensive care units. In addition, | observed this student actively participating in clinical development sessions including simulation and lab settings. Javier is a hard working student who is a self-directed, independent learner and seeks clinical experiences which challenge him to grow in the delivery of integrated nursing care. He demonstrates strong critical thinking skills and problem-solving abilities with high acuity patient populations. He also demonstrates insight into patient and family care needs and uses effective communication skills as a developing patient edvocate.
