Prewriting/Pitch

1. Purpose- What do you intend for the writing to accomplish?

I intend to inform and then persuade.

2. Audience- To whom are you directing your focus?

Since education is most strongly supported by teachers and parents I want to inform those

parents who do not realize the importance of funding education then persuade them to vote pro

education. Also for those who overlook the importance of voting to encourage pro education

voting among them as well.

3. Subject- What your ultimate subject/conclusions seemed to be at the end of your inquiry.

There isnt enough public awareness with the issues of underfunding in public school systems.

4. Genre- How will you present this information in the most effective way given your

purpose, audience and subject?

I feel that a basic infographic that could be run as an ad on the side of website would accomplish

this best because from my experience middle aged Americans get some of their information

while using Facebook or other online mediums casually.
