2.1 The student will explain how the contributions of ancient
China and Egypt have influenced the
present world in terms of architecture, inventions, the calendar,
and written language.
2.4 The student will develop map skills by
a) locating the United States, China, and Egypt on world maps;
b) understanding the relationship between the environment and
the culture of ancient China
and Egypt;
The lesson objective is to have students understand where
Ancient China is located and some contributions that they have
influenced on us. The students will do this by interacting on
the Smart Board.
- First the teacher will have groups of four come up to
the interactive white board and write in the circle what
they already know about Ancient China. After that,
they will go over some of the objectives the students
already knew.
- Next, the groups of four will write on the interactive
white board with what they want to know about
Ancient China.
- After the students interact with what they know and
want to know, the teacher will take the groups to the
white board and they will go through the next four
slides together and answer interactive questions.
- After all of the groups of four go through those four
slides, the teacher will briefly go over some facts about
Ancient China with the class.
- Lastly, the students will again go into their groups of
four and write on the interactive white board of what
they learned about Ancient China. After everyone
writes something they learn, the teacher will go over
what everyone wrote.
