To whom it may concern:

I am pleased to recommend Ms. Kimberly Murphy to you for employment as a new graduate registered
nurse. I am a Clinical Nursing Instructor in the Baccalaureate Nursing Program at the University of
Arizona and I was one of Ms. Murphys clinical instructors during her high acuity rotation in both the
Medical Surgical Units and Critical Care Units at Banner University Medical Center in Tucson, Arizona.
During this rotation, Ms. Murphy provided safe and compassionate care for the patients and their
families. She also did an exceptional job of integrating theory into practice therefore enhancing her
ability to become a great nurse.

Ms. Murphy is hard-working and conscientious, and her strengths include the ability to critically analyze
problems, and present a possible solution. She has demonstrated the delivery of competent nursing
care to critically ill patients and their families almost independently. In addition, she eagerly accepts
challenging situations and is self-directed. Ms. Murphy quickly acquires new skills and once mastered,
she is self-motivated to learn more. She fully accepts the responsibility of advocating on behalf of
patients and their families.

I support Ms. Murphys application for employment as a nurse in her area of interest. She is a bright,
knowledgeable student who is willing to work hard to meet her goals. She accepts nothing less than the
best she can possibly do for others on a regular basis. She has proven to be very mature, a team player
and supportive of others. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have questions regarding her
qualifications.

Sincerely,

Elizabeth Spinks
