1 EXT. DREAM SEQUENCE 1 1
A figure in a hoodie approaches a house in an eerie fog.

2 INT. DAY 1- CONNORS BEDROOM- MORNING 2

Connor wakes up suddenly. He takes a moment to realise it
was a dream. He gets up out of bed slowly and makes his
way downstairs.

3 INT. DAY 1- CONNORS KITCHEN- MORNING 3

CU He makes himself coffee, grabs an apple off the counter
and his bag and heads to work.
4 INT. DAY 1- OFFICE- MORNING 4

Connor arrives at his desk and sits down heavily in his

chair. He stares blankly at his screen for a moment before
his boss walks up behind him, grabs his shoulders and
makes him jump.

BOSS
Glad to see youre back.
Connor nods at him in thanks.

5 INT. DAY 1- OFFICE- DAY 5

Connors office buddy Ethan walks up behind Connor.
ETHAN
Come on mate Im starving over
here.
CONNOR
(Mutter to self) Im sure thats
an exaggeration.

Connor grabs his bag and follows behind Ethan.

6 INT. DAY 1- OFFICE (CANTEEN)- DAY 6
They sit down at a table in the canteen.

ETHAN
(With food in his mouth) Have the
police found anything then?
CONNOR
Not really. Theyre getting CCTV
from the area.
ETHAN
That sucks. Hows Alison?

CONNOR
With the in-laws. She wanted me
home to keep an eye on the house.

ETHAN
Ooh. Ouch.
CONNOR
Its fine. Theyve helped us out
a lot with the money and
everything.
ETHAN
(Mocking) Theyve helped Alison
out a lot with that money. Was
she supposed to keep that cash
for special occasions? Are you
staying at home under your own
accord? Or was that their idea?
Connor stares at him for a moment with suspicion and
glare.

ETHAN
Alright fine Ill drop it. But
you know I have a point.

Connor sighs and continues to eat his food.

7 INT. DAY 1- CONNORS LIVING ROOM- NIGHT 7
Connor is slouched on his sofa watching the TV. A clock on
the wall reads 1:15, and out a window we can see its
dark. The only light is a lamp in the corner of a room and
the screen of the television. Connor is almost asleep
when...
A SLOW APPROACH TOWARDS CONNOR FROM BEHIND THE SOFA. MLS
TO MS

... He sees someone walk past a window behind the TV.

Suddenly he perks up and CAUTIOUSLY checks out the window.
He moves round to the back of the house and checks out
another window to see that it was just a neighbour
arriving home late. He sighs and closes all the curtains
and locks the doors in the house.
8 INT. DAY 1- CONNORS BEDROOM- NIGHT 8
He flops down into bed and sighs. He turns off his light
and then tosses and turns himself to sleep.

9 EXT. DREAM SEQUENCE 2 9

POV: A hand reaches towards the door handle and tries it.
It doesnt open. We start moving towards the back of the
house. a look through a window shows Connor asleep on the
sofa with the TV on.
10 INT. DAY 2- CONNORS BEDROOM- MORNING 10
Connor opens his eyes. He looks exhausted. He swings his
legs out of bed. He heads downstairs, makes himself
coffee, grabs a apple off the counter and his bag and
heads to work.
11 INT. DAY 2- OFFICE- MORNING 11

He sits down at his desk heavily, looking more tired than

yesterday. He sorts papers on his desk.
12 INT. DAY 2- OFFICE- DAY 12
Ethan shows up behind Connor.

ETHAN
Lets go.
Connor grabs his apple and follows Ethan.

13 INT. DAY 2- OFFICE (CANTEEN)- DAY 13

Ethan and Connor take a seat at the same table they sat at
yesterday.
ETHAN
You been quiet today.
CONNOR
Not sleeping well.
ETHAN
Have the police been in contact?
CONNOR
No not yet. I guess they only
will if they find something.

ETHAN
What about Alison?
CONNOR
She was supposed to be coming
back tonight but her parents want
her to stay longer.
ETHAN
(rolling eyes) Of course.

Connor glares at Ethan. He sighs.

CONNOR
There is this one thing.
ETHAN
Yeah?

CONNOR
Like Im not worried or anything
but I keep having these dreams...
I keep having dreams about what
happened.

ETHAN
(He sighs) Look, I know it can
mess with your head, but a
dreams a dream. Dont stress
over it.
Connor nods in agreement. He continues to eat his lunch.
14 INT. DAY 2- CONNORS LIVING ROOM- EVENING 14

Connor sits heavily down on the sofa and puts his work bag
down next to him. He turns on the television.
A SLOW APPROACH FROM THE LEFT OF CONNOR TO BUILD TENSION.
A knock at the door startles Connor. He gets up cautiously
to answer it.
He opens the door on the latch. Its a police officer. He
closes the door again and undoes the latch.
OFFICER
Hi Mr Winter. May I come in?
CONNOR
Sure.
Connor nods with a half smile and lets him in.

They sit down on opposite ends of the sofa.

OFFICER
So. Connor, have you noticed
anything since we last spoke to
you? Have you noticed anything
has gone missing yet?
CONNOR
No. Nothing. Im just scared to
be in my own home.
OFFICER
Its going to take a while to
settle back in. When is Alison
coming back?

(CONTINUED)

CONNOR
She was supposed to come back
tonight but her parents want her
to stay with them.

OFFICER
Its going to help you both to be
here because then you can support
each other and get settled into
your own home again. Have you
noticed anyone unusual on your
street?
CONNOR
I havent noticed anything. But
Im not sleeping well. Im
dreaming about it.
OFFICER
Okay... Interesting. And where
were you during this time again?

CONNOR
Asleep on the sofa. I woke up
when Alison came down to wake me
up, and the guy had already gone.

OFFICER
So he ignored you to go to
Alison?
CONNOR
Or he just didnt notice me...
Im not sure. I didnt hear
anybody come in.
OFFICER
Okay. Well Im glad it seems that
the person hasnt come back. Im
going to head over to Alison and
talk to her now and see if I can
get her back here because I think
that will really help you out.
Try and get some good sleep.

CONNOR
Thanks... I will.
15 EXT. DREAM SEQUENCE 3 15
The hooded man moves around to the back of the house and
approaches the back door. He tries the door handle and it
opens.

16 INT. DAY 3- CONNORS KITCHEN- MORNING 16

Connor heads downstairs and makes himself coffee, spilling
some on the counter. He grabs a apple off the counter and
his bag and heads to work.
17 INT. DAY 3- OFFICE- DAY 17
Connor heavily sits down at his desk, looking exhausted.

MS OF CONNOR HEAD ON.

18 INT. DAY 3- OFFICE (CANTEEN)- DAY 18
MS of Connor head on, moving out to a MLS of Connor and
Ethan.

Connor and Ethan sit at their usual table.

Ethan looks concerned at Connor.
ETHAN
You alright mate?
CONNOR
Yeah. Just tired.
ETHAN
Mate maybe you should see
someone. A doctor or something.
CONNOR
Alison is coming back tonight.

ETHAN
Oh. Thats good. Have the police
spoken to you yet?
CONNOR
Yeah, an officer came over last
night. I told him about the
dreams and he said it was
interesting.
ETHAN
Well... I think thats good? I
definitely think you need to talk
to a doctor though.
CONNOR
(Sighs) Ill be fine.

Ethan nods and they sit and eat their lunch quietly.

19 INT. DAY 3- CONNORS LIVING ROOM- EVENING 19

Once again, Connor sits heavily down on his couch and
turns on the TV but almost immediately begins to fall
asleep on the sofa. The front door unlocking wakes him. He
stands up and walks slowly to the front door. Alison
enters the room.
Alison and Connor hug each other tightly.
ALISON
How have you been?
CONNOR
Okay... Struggling. You?

ALISON
(Smiles pitifully) Im sorry my
parents didnt let you-
CONNOR
-Its fine. Lets head up shall
we?
Alison nods. They go upstairs to bed.
20 INT. DAY 3- CONNORS BEDROOM- NIGHT 20

BIRDS EYE VIEW Connor and Alison are lying next to each
other in bed. Alison is fast asleep But Connor lies facing
upwards, awake. He rolls to his side, sighs, and closes
his eyes.
21 INT. DREAM SEQUENCE 4 21

The hooded man enters Connors home. He enters the kitchen

and starts looking through draws, Then turns to head
upstairs.
22 INT. DAY 4- CONNORS KITCHEN- MORNING 22

Connor heads downstairs and makes himself coffee. He grabs

his bag and heads to work.
23 INT. DAY 4- OFFICE- DAY 23

Connor is busy working at his desk, which makes it clear

that hes been there for a while. Ethan walks up behind
him, for their routine lunch break.
ETHAN
Ready?
CONNOR
Yeah. (Connor notices he forgot
his lunch) Ah damn.

Connor stands and follows Ethan anyway.

24 INT. DAY 4- OFFICE (CANTEEN)- DAY 24

They sit down at their usual table. Ethan starts his lunch
while Connor sits and stares into nothing.

ETHAN
Any updates?
CONNOR
(Sighs) Not really. Alisons
home.
ETHAN
Ah. Good. Thats good.
Connor stays quiet and appears to be thinking hard. Ethan
looks more concerned.
ETHAN
You okay mate?
CONNOR
Yeah. No.
ETHAN
The dreams?

CONNOR
Yeah. Its just confusing... I
just want to know what
happened... but I think Im more
afraid to find out.

Connor lets out a deep sigh and rocks back in his chair
with his hands behind his head. Then he stands up quickly
and goes back to his desk, leaving Ethan at the table to
eat his lunch.
25 INT. DAY 4- CONNORS BEDROOM- NIGHT 25

BIRDS EYE VIEW Alison is already fast asleep and Connor

is lying face-up, staring. he rolls to his side and looks
uncomfortable as he falls asleep.
26 INT. DREAM SEQUENCE 5 26

The hooded man continues upstairs to Connors bedroom.

Alison is asleep in the bed. He walks towards a dresser
and starts looking through the draws.
ALISON
Hello?
He looks over at Alison who is sleepily looking in his
direction. The man turns and we see that the man is Ethan.
He heads out of the bedroom, walking fairly quickly but
smoothly down the stairs.

27 INT. DAY 5- CONNORS BEDROOM- MORNING 27

Connor gasps, waking up immediately. Alison is already
awake, in bed next to him. She looks a little concerned
when she looks at him.
CONNOR
It was him.
ALISON
What?
CONNOR
Ethan was the intruder.
28 INT.DAY 5- CONNORS KITCHEN- MORNING 28

CU of apple being picked up and coffee being poured.

29 INT.DAY 5- OFFICE- DAY 29
Connor is working at his desk. Ethan approaches behind
him.
ETHAN
Ready?
CONNOR
Yep.
They get up and leave for lunch.
30 INT. DAY 5- OFFICE (CANTEEN)- DAY 30

They sit at the usual table, eating their lunch. They sit
quietly for a second.
CONNOR
I know you were the person to
break into my house.
Ethan leans back in his chair, looking directly at Connor.
He sighs.
ETHAN
How did you know?
CONNOR
I saw you. I saw you when you
walked in but I thought I was
dreaming.

FLASHBACK of Connor rolling over on the sofa, briefly

opening his eyes to see Ethan look at him and walk past.
He rolls over and closes his eyes again.

(CONTINUED)

CONNOR
What were you doing in my house?
ETHAN
You didnt need that money. You
have your nice little life and
marriage and what do I get? Some
shitty apartment and no family.
CONNOR
And now you have nothing.
SLOW MOTION MS REVERSING INTO WIDE Police enter into the
canteen and handcuff Ethan as he shouts incoherently at
Connor. Connor stays sat in his chair calmly watching as
Ethan is arrested.
