Teachers Performance Objectives During the lesson the teacher will:
1. Make sure to go over the rules of Clean Your Room and Keeper of the Castle
thoroughly so there is no miscommunication during my lesson.
2. Make sure that all students are only taking one ball at a time during both gameplay to
promote fairness and sportsmanship.

Special Considerations What are the safety concerns? What is unique about the
students in this class?
1. Ensure that any hazards around the area of play are coned off so no students will go
near it and will stop any dangerous situations from occurring.

16-32 min activities attached below)
Gameplay
Clean Your Room:
Rules:
- Students will have 4-5 balls
in their hoop. This hoop
represents their room.
- The first team to
successfully have no balls
in their room at one point
during gameplay or
whichever team has the
least amount of balls in
their hoop as time expires
wins the game.
- In order to get rid of any of
the balls, each person on
your team must take one
ball at a time and PLACE
that ball within another
teams hoop.
- No one from any team is
allowed to guard their
hoop.
Variation:
- One student from each
group can act as a guard
and can tag any player
who tries to place their ball
within their hoop.
- If the student gets tagged
before placing the ball,
they must take the ball out
and try to place it at a
different hoop.
Depending on how fast gameplay
goes, there will be either 1 or 2
rounds played.

Keeper of the Castle:

RULES:
- One group will take their
hula hoop and place it in
the middle of the
gameplay.
- Everyone will place all of
the balls within this hula
hoop.
- 2-3 students will be the
keepers of the castle and
will try to stop any student
who tries to steal balls from
the castle by tagging him
or her.
- If a student gets tagged
trying to steal a ball, he or
she must go back to her
hula hoop and touch it
before attempting to get a
ball again.
- Students who are not
keepers will try to steal the
ball without getting tagged
by the keepers and will
place the ball within their
hula hoop.
- Whoever has the most
balls by the end of time, or
once all the balls are gone,
wins the game.

Extension Up: Have only small

sized balls so it makes taking and
running with the ball more difficult.
Extension Down: Have larger balls
so it is easier to take and hold the
ball during gameplay.
32-33 min
Transition:
Have the students bring in the
equipment to the bag and have
them stay for a quick closure.
33-35 min S S S S S S S S S S S
Closure/Wrap-Up: S S
- What were some offensive S S
strategies your team used T
to successfully score?
35-43 min
Transition: Mr.G will lead the
students back into the school and
have them go into their locker and
change for class.
