Teachers Performance Objectives During the lesson the teacher will:
1. Make sure to give corrective feedback to students who are struggling to throw the ball
accurately by using the skill cues cited in the lesson plan.
2. Make sure to explain the new alternative scoring method thoroughly to make sure
students understand and to make gameplay as efficient as possible.

1. Ensure that all students are safe during the lesson by stressing that team handball is
not a contact sport before gameplay.

How to play:

- Make sure you are
watching your match-up
and not allowing he or she
to get by you.
- Rules:
- The person with the ball
may not move, but can use
their pivot foot.
- If the ball is intercepted or
hits the ground, the other
team gets the ball and tries
to score in the opposite
direction. If the ball is
knocked out of bounds, the
team who was just playing
defense brings the ball
back in bounds and play
resumes.
- The offensive team must
make 3 complete passes
to 3 different teammates
before attempting to score.
- NEW RULE:
- In order to score, there will
be a coned off area and
cone with a smaller ball on
top of it. Just like the
previous lesson, no one on
the offense or defense is
allowed to go inside the
coned area.
- A team will score when
one of the teammates
throws the handball at the
cone and knocks over the
smaller ball placed on top
of the cone.
- The student who throws
the handball and
successfully knocks over
the smaller ball will go
inside the coned area and
reset the scoring area.

- SKILL CUES OF
THROWING:
- Face the target
- Step with the opposite foot
- Follow through to target
15-16 min Transition: The students will be
split into groups of 4-6 by Mr.G.
Each group will get a number
(1,2,3 or 4) and will be assigned to
a pinnie color. Once they get their
number, they can grab their pinnie
color and get in a line till Mr.G
separates the teams into two
different games.

16-32 min Gameplay


The Game will be played between O= large cone with smaller
two teams of 4-6 students. The ball on top

Extension Up: Anyone who has


successfully knocked the smaller
ball off of the cone, may not
attempt to score again till
everyone on the team has made
an attempt at scoring.
Extension Down: Allow the pass
count to go down to 2 or even 1
before attempting to score.

32-33 min Transition: After the two 8 minute


games are over, Mr.G will blow the
whistle and have the students
bring their pinnies as well as the
handballs to the equipment bag
and put them in there.
