Today in Pre-K

Hello Pre-K Parents!

As part of our course work for the PK- 3 program at LSU, we are asked to
present an aesthetic lesson to a small group of about 4 or 5 students. Today, the
lesson we will be doing will focus on exploring nature and discovering new ways
to create art using nature. The children are always asking for ways to have more
lessons and time outside and this lesson provided the perfect opportunity. The
children will explore the garden to discover things to paint and build with to
express their creativity. This will help the students with their fine motor, gross
motor, and cognition.

Thank you!
Alexandra Craft, Claudia Hurtado, Rebecca Dumestre

How can you extend this lesson at home?

Give your children the opportunity to explore nature and engage in
discussion with you about what they see.
Draw with your children and encourage them to draw and create with
materials they find outside.
