Some of the problems with Figure 1-1:

1. This document cant be read selectively. If one was to read this document from the middle of it
they would not understand what the document is talking about.
2. This document also has a of words in bold print that are related to the document but does not hold
much importance standing alone.
3. Another problem with this document is that the words in bold print arent separate from the
information that pertains to it. For example, gas water heaters is the topic of one paragraph but
instead of using it as a header it is used as the first sentence of the paragraph.
4. This document also is not set in a way that helps the reader navigate through and understand what
its main purpose is.
5. Another big point is where the document starts to state the various procedure for lowering water
temperature. Instead of listing the different procedures the author starts to state the different types
of systems that can contain hot water, then under each system`the author proceeds to mention
how to lower the hot water.
