After our weeklong sembreak from October 30 to November 5 we had a glimpse introduction about our
new lesson in 3rd grading about fables. We only had an insufficient time to fully discuss it because our
teacher announced our grade in english. Even though my grade is not higher than the last one Im
totally okay with that. And moving back on to our lesson we had a spelling first to unlock the difficulties
in reading the fable in the book entitled the lion and the mouse. And for me we all know that famous
fable. Starting when I was on grade 1 I still remember that we read that one and we also discuss the
fables. Because of that it makes me advance in our present lesson. Going back in my elementary life I
always read fables in our library before the class and I can say that fable truly fulfills my childhood life.
And I think when I was in kinder 2 we had a roleplay from a fable, but I think its not just for kids, adults
or teens can also find them interesting and exciting.

On this day we fully discussed the fables. Comparing on yesterday, this day we had much information
about our lesson. We first read another fable entitled Belling the Cat and I find it interesting even
though it is short and simple. After that we discussed the 6 elements of fables and they are characters,
settings, conflict, resolution, events and finally the moral lesson of the fable. This information helps me
out in making an outline about our originally made fables. Im quite excited because at that time I will
be an author. Yet it is hard to think, but finally I made a fable with an unusual characters or animals. I
wanted to have a unique one that can outstand the other fables. And after we made an outline we
wrote down the full story or fable and I think making an outline will be helpful in starting our own fable.

We told our fables in front of our class one by one and it made me quite confident. Since elementary we
had this kind of activity and I can totally say that my confidence built up. Im also nervous in that day
because Maam Angel was not satisfied in the other fable. While sitting down on the chair I practiced
the things that I will say so I will be totally ready when it is my turn to speak in front. I also felt having
butterflies in my stomach and it is common for me when Im nervous. I heared the other fables and it is
typical to have a dog and cat in the story. Luckily my characters are anteater and ants which is totally
different. And when Its my turn to speak Maam Angel didnt ask me or interupt me and I think thats
good because it means that my fable is good. The think that I just need to improve is the loudness of my
voice and I can say that I can fix that problem.

This day we made another fable and it is my assignment so I make sure that it will be better than the
first one. Compared into the first fable I had a longer time to think about ideas on the second one. I
search things that can make a fable much effective for the readers. And my story is entitled the quick-
witted monkey. My story is all about an intelligent and wise monkey because he fooled a caiman that
makes him safe from being eaten. The settings of that story is just on the apple tree which serves as the
shelter of the monkey and the swamp or river that serves as the shelter of the caiman. After that we
chose the better fable and I chose the second fable because it is more interesting for me. Compared into
the first fable we dont write an outline in the second fable. Guess thats all for today.

After our week long rest we had a new lesson about the direct and indirect speech. I remember that e
tackled this lesson when I was on grade 8 but sadly I forgot it. Well its kinda easy to differentiate the
two because indirect speech has quotation marks while the indirect speech hasnt. And after we
discussed it our teacher taught us on how to convert direct into indirect speech. Its kinda hard but
thankfully our teacher says the 3 rules or guidelines on how to easily convert it. We had also discussed
the changing of tense when converting direct to indirect speech. The examples are simple present to
simple past, simple past to past perfect and etc. Im very thankful to our teacher because she gave us
countless examples just to make it much easy for us to understand. I can say that without those
examples I would have a hard time answering our assignment.

We had an assignment yesterday to test us out if we really understand our current lesson about
converting direct into indirect speech. Actually Im not that confident on my answers because the
questions are slight hard but I did my best to get a high score. When we were about to check our
answers our teacher said that there were some questions on the book that havent been discussed
yesterday. Thankfully Maam Angel did try her best to search on the other books on how to convert this
kind of direct speech. I was slightly got interested when our teacher discussed on how to convert simple
future into present conditional. Its a new thing to hear and I really do not have an idea about the
present conditional tense. And after our teacher discussed it we rewrite our answers to make them right
and the words that would be converted when doing the conversion helps me a lot. The examples of it
are here there, today this day and many more. Because of this I got a high score and a new
unfamilliar lesson had been tackled even though its just for colleges.

We dont have an English class due to our christian living class

11-23-17

On this day we dont discuss anything but instead we had a recitation about converting direct into
indirect. It is a recitation which our teacher will randomly pick our name and that makes me much
nervous. We first reviewed our notes so we will be ready. When Maam Angel said that the cover of the
recitation is just the simple tenses my nervousness had been lessened. It really helps me a lot because I
could focus much easier. And when the recitation started up I got and the feeling of having butterflies in
my stomach. I felt it because anytime soon I have a chance to be picked by our teacher. Upon sitting on
the chair and listening to the question my nervousness had been gone because I heard that the
questions are easy to answer. It makes me confident of having a right answer. Luckily I havent been
picked because of insufficient so we had continued it on lunch break. And the good news is I answered
the question right.

On this day we had a reading of a poem entitled I Wandered Lonely As A Cloud. This poem is made by
William WordsWorth and his poem is all about the bliss of solitude. Before reading it we had a spelling
to unlock the difficulties that we might encounter while reading the poem and examples of it are
solitude, daffodils and etc.. At first he describe the fascinating view of dancing daffodils. He also compare
it into the stars in the milky way because they are both majestic and created by God. And when he is in a
pensive mood the memories of the daffodils is flashing back in his inward eye. And after I read it I
thought that I can find happiness when Im lonely .I had a hard time understanding this poem but with
the help of our teacher I finally got the meaning of it.
