My lesson was focused on number recognition 0-50.

I did not use any technology for this lesson

as it was not appropriate. In the lesson I use explicit instruction to guide students as well as the
audiolingual method of language repetition. I asked questions to engage students in higher order
thinking about identifying numbers with multiple digits. I used an informal assessment at the end
of the lesson to see if students were able to differentiate between teen numbers and ty numbers
(e.g., 13, 30). To do this, I gave each student a whiteboard and an expo marker. I then said a
number and they wrote down the number they heard. I then asked them to identify and say the
number and the digits in the number. I think it would be interesting to use an app called Bits
Board to have students create slides with picture, text and audio to illustrate the numbers they
know. This would be a good assessment that they could also use as a tool to practice. Not only
would they become more familiar with numbers, they would also gain some tech literacy skills.
