Psalm 65 – The Lord is due our praise Song: O for a Thousand Tongues to Sing
Praise is due to you, in Zion, O God, O for a thousand tongues to sing
and before you we make our vows. 1 My great Redeemer's praise
Everyone will come before you, The glories of my God and king
because you will hear our prayer. 2 The triumphs of his grace
Blessed is he whom you choose,
and bring near to dwell in your courts! My gracious master and my God
We shall be satisfied in your house, Assist me to proclaim
with the goodness of your holy temple! 4 To spread through all the earth abroad
By your power you form the mountains. The honors of thy name
They are mighty because of your strength. 6
You still the roaring of the seas, Jesus the name that charms our fears
the roaring of their waves, That bids our sorrows cease
and the turmoil of the peoples. 7 'Tis music in the sinners ears
You cause the morning and evening 'Tis life and health and peace
to come and go with singing. 8
You care for and water the earth, He breaks the power of cancelled sin
making it rich and fertile. He sets the prisoner free
Your rivers are full of water. His blood can make the foulest clean
The earth is filled with grain, His blood availed for me
just as you have ordered. 9
You water earth's furrows abundantly. He speaks and listening to his voice
You level its ridges. New life the dead receive
You soften the ground with showers, The mournful broken hearts rejoice
and you bless its growth. 10 The humble poor believe
You crown the year with bounty.
Your carts drip with abundance. 11 Hear him ye deaf, his praise ye dumb
The pastures of the wilderness drip. Your loosened tongues employ
The hills are girded with joy. 12 Ye blind behold your Savior come
The meadows are clothed with flocks. And leap ye lame for joy
The valleys are covered with grain.
They shout and sing together for joy. 13
