Biography

Catherine Kondi, senior soprano attending Hartwick College, is the winner o the Hartwick College Al Gallodoro
Award for Outstanding Achievement in Musical Performance. Miss Kondi was awarded e Heritage Festival
Maestro Award her senior year o high school, for her performance o Andrew Lloyd Webber's " ink o Me" from
Phantom o the Opera. Miss Kondi was honored to perform for the Oneonta Concert Association 2016 concert series.
Miss Kondi was also honored to receive the opportunity to perform along side Hartwick Faculty in the concert
Asian-Paci c Heritage.
Catherine Kondi is a senior at Hartwick College as a Music Education major, with a concentration in vocal
performance, studying voice with Prof. Steven Nanni. As a young performer at Hartwick College, Miss Kondi has
performed with the Hartwick College Choir, Chamber Choir, and Opera Scenes Program. Miss Kondi has also
worked for the Hartwick Music Department as a representative for outstanding practice for the Annual Meeting for
New York State Association o College Music Programs Conference, and NASM recital.
Outside o Hartwick, Catherine Kondi has competed in the Classical Singers Convention and Competition,
competing in the second round located in Chicago, IL. Miss Kondi soon a er took part in e Foothills Opera
Experience Program in Oneonta, NY where she was able to study with Mary Burgess, Carol Castel, and be coached by
William Vindice. Her scenes in the program include the roles o Norma in Bellini's Norma, Amina in Bellinis La
sonnambula, Mabel in Gilbert & Sullivans Pirates o Penzance, Norina in Donizettis Don Pasquale, and Adele in Johann
Strauss, Jr.s Die Fledermaus. Her up and coming performances include works by Mozart, Liszt, Donizetti, Schubert,
Chausson, Bach, and Handel.
