Reflective Essay

Over the course of the year I believe that ENGL 115 has allowed me to improve

my writing skills in different areas. I believe that I have developed better research skills,

I learned different persuasive techniques, and I also learned how to present an oral

presentation.

In my final draft of Project Space I incorporated additional quotes from different

sources. I improved my research skills by being able to look for articles that better fit the

prompt and help support my arguments. I learned how to adjust certain diction to alter

my tone in the essays. I learned how tone can have an affect on the essay as well as

the audience. I altered the introductions and conclusions of my final essays so that the

tone of the introduction would be compromising due to the fact that the audience is

uneducation where as the conclusion contains an experienced audience. I developed

better formatting skills which allowed me to correct my works cited pages on both

essays.
