Tristy, like Cary, is a social outcast. Although she
has an innate beauty, she doesnt realise it herself
and thus is shy and reclusive to most people.
Another similarity to Cary is that she has absent parents, and lives with her elderly
grandmother, whom she has to take care of. However, her constant spending time with
Cary results in her being neglected most of the time. Because she has nothing to do at home
due living with an elderly person, Tristy spends most of her free time writing stories about
alternative lives as a means of escaping her real one. After the events of the film takes place
she writes a story about it titled Our Happy Home, the name of the film.
