Laboratory Apparatus Test tube/s - A test tube is a clear glass or plastic container that is much longer than it is wide, commonly has a U-shaped bottom, and has an open top. It’s essentially a cylinder-like piece of equipment with one apen end . Dropper/s - A dropper is a pipette consisting of a small tube with @ vacuum bulb at ane end for drawing liquid in and releasing it a drop at a time, Bunsen Burner - device for combining a flammable gas with controlled amounts of air before ignition; it produces a hotter flame than would be possible using the ambient air and gas alone. Beaker - is a simple container for stirring, mixing and heating liquids commonly used in many laboratories. Beakers are generally cylindrical in shape, with a flat bottom. Ph Paper — also called litmus paper, is filter paper that is treated with natural water-soluble dye from lichens. pH paper is used as an indicator to test the acidity of water-based liquids. Test Tube Holder — is used to hold test tubes when they are hot and untouchable Wire Gauze — is a sheet of thin metal that has net-like crosses or a wire mesh. Wire gauze is placed on the support ring that is attached to the retort stand between the Bunsen burner and the beakers in order to support the beakers or ather glassware or flasks during heating Iron Stand — used to hold the iron ring and supports.
