1. Use basic greetings, farewells, and
expressions of courtesy both orally and in
writing.
For this activity, students will learn how to greet in
Spanish, create flashcards, and practice with one
another the proper hand expressions. I will supply
the students with a study guide of how to greet,
farewell, and use proper expressions. I will translate
it in Spanish for them. I will repeat the translation in
Spanish and have the students repeat it back, until
Ive noticed most of the students are able to
properly say it right. As a class we will be using
Quizlet, I have created flashcards in English with
Spanish Translations for the students to study. Then
the students will partner up with another classmate
they will create their own flashcards in Spanish and
Translate them in English. I will walk around the

For this activity, students will use the app Popplet in
groups of 4 they will each create their own popplet
and add their name. The team will create four
pooplets. In the first one they will each write how
they would introduced themselves in Spanish (Hola
mucho gusto mi nombre es ___) students can be
creative and add pictures to their popplet if they
want. The second popplet they will do a small
conversation in Spanish it can be anything they like
or enjoy doing. They will then create another
popplet stating it was great meeting them (Fue un
placer conoserte ____). They can see what their
other team members have done while working on
their pooplet. Once the class is done each team will

have creating their flashcards.

Technology
The name of the Mobile Students can download the app for free. Its a great
Application app since it translates to Spanish both in written and
verbally. If students are having trouble with a word
they can press the button to hear the Spanish word.
Before you submit, delete the explanatory text (the text in small italics).
present their work to the class on what they have
created.
As the teacher, I will show students how to use
popplet, add pictures, and how to add collaborators.
Once their questions have been answered and their
groups have been added on popplet they can start
working on their presentation.
Popplet App
Pooplet is a free app and its very easy to use.
Students can capture their thoughts, ideas, be
creative, add pictures, create or share it with
classmates.
