The necessity of learning Math and Science comes from that fact that humans nature of
discovery and investigating. As applied sciences, both Math and Science have their own fact,
theories, and applications. Here comes the importance of applying guided inquiry- instruction
when it comes to (NOS) where students are given the chance to investigate, predict, and use
their critical thinking to come up with valid conclusions based on their findings from what
they have examined. Hence, schools must assure mapping Science curriculums in a way that
allows students to feed their curiosity through investigation and experience.

UAE is showing massive efforts in the field of science education and applied science. By
supporting and engaging schools and teachers to participate in various Scientific summits,
UAE believes in the importance of STEAM education and the need of such methods and
techniques in teaching and involving science in students education.
TIMSS, stands for Trends in International Mathematics and Science Studies, is an
international assessment of Science and Math education for students in grade 4-8 which
carries out every four years. The UAE students scores in 2015 have shown a noticeable
improvement since 2011s assessment.

The UAE Vision 2021 created a strong assertion on how the government wants children to

the top 15 countries in the TIMSS. The National (2016)
The UAEs participation in TIMSS guided the country to highlight the contextual indicators
of students performance and achievements in both Math and Science.
Moreover, the Ministry of Education has created smart reports for schools to help them
analyze the students results in Math and Science to come up with new plans to develop
students performance and critical thinking.

The UAE National Agenda emphasizes on the importance of holding international

benchmarking assessment in all schools to assure and highlight students performance a
development in line with the national and international standards. Hence, schools among
