Journal Entry 1

Week 1

24th September, 2017 27th September, 2017

Sunday, September 24th, 2017

This Sunday was my first day at Wesgreen International School. I met the principal, Ms. Alison

and she assigned me and Aisha with Ms. Wendi and Ms. Zainun. Then, at the third period I was

assigned with Ms. Zainub, who will be my MST for the rest of the TP.

Monday, September 25th, 2017

I got to know the students and tried my best to memorize their names. Also, I tried to talk and

communicate with the students to know them well, that will help me in my upcoming teaching

plans.

Tuesday, September 26th, 2017

On Tuesday, I told my MST that I want to teach on Wednesday, so that I will be prepared for the

lesson. I discussed with her which lesson to teach and on which period, since there are two

lesson on the next day. Also, I helped her with cutting and laminating a load of papers and cards

that she made for the class.

Wednesday, September 27th, 2017

It was my first time to teach on Wednesday, but it helped me a lot to get used to the teaching

methods and know each students name as I had to call them out to answer the questions.

Reflection

This week I tried my best to know the students and build a good relationship with them. It

wasnt easy though, but with their personality, they made it easier for me to do so. Also, its just

their third week in the school, but the teachers had a lot of work to do, like creating a list of the

students name with their pictures on it etc. Also, I learnt that I have to be bolder and get rid of

my shy personality, which will require a lot of work to change it though. So, next time, I will try

my best and get some courage, as there is no time for being shy as a teacher.
