Module 7

1. The drinking water that we are able to drink is slowly dwindling down. There are issues

where our water is becoming contaminated with harmful chemicals. The issue in Flint,

they cannot drink the water, and people are trying to fix the problem but the government

is trying to build piping under the lake where the people get their water and all of these

issues show that there is a problem with the water now and things need to change. People

could also see issues with drinking water in third world countries and countries that are

heavily populated such as India.

2. My audience would be the communities who are affected by not having drinking water. I

would also try to show people who abuse their water because in the future there may not

be much water left and more and more people would become affected with not having

clean water to drink and they could become sick.

3. Blog posts would be a good way to convey the messages because I could post at any time

and have people reply and discuss their issues relating to their crisis with water, I want to

bring the people together to gain supporters of this issue.

4. I would lean toward pathos and ethos because people need to know the ethics involved in

this issue and pathos to appeal to the emotions of the people who are unaffected and show

them that this is a serious issue to the people affected and that they should help them by

putting some pathos within the blogs.

5. I would use the flint issue that is going on because of how recent it is because this issue

has been in discussion. I would talk about the issue of overpopulation like the Ganges

river is becoming super contaminated causing problems to the whole population

surrounding the river. Another source would include would be the drought problem

bringing the people in California problems because they have no water to drink. These

sources would work because they are affecting fellow Americans and would more likely

bring people together to help these issues.
