Instruction Manual MKS Type 148J Pressure and Flow Control Valve oOo MKS WARRANTY Type 148J Equipment MKS Instruments, Inc. (MKS) warrants that the equipment described above (the “equipment) manutactured by MKS shall be free fom defects in materials and workmanship fora period of ane yaar trom date of shipment and wil fora period of two ‘years from the date of shipment, correctly perform all date-rlated operations, including without ination accepting data entry, sequencing, srting, comparing, and reporting, regardless ofthe date the operation is performed of the date involved inthe operation, provided that, ifthe equipment exchanges data or is otherwise used with equipment, software, or ether products of others, such products of others themssives correctly perform all date-elated operations and store and transmit dates and date-lated data in a format compatitie with MKS equipment. THIS WARRANTY IS MKS’ SOLE WARRANTY CONCERNING DATE-RELATED OPERATIONS, For the period commencing withthe dat cf shipment of this equipment and ending one ‘year later in the case of defects in materials and workmanship, but two years later inthe ‘case of failure to comply wih the daterelated operations warrenty, MKS wil, at its ‘option, ether repair or replace ary part which is detective in materials or workmanship Cor with respect tothe dateelated operatons warrany without charge tothe purchaser. ‘The foregoing shall constitute the exclusive and sole remedy ofthe purchaser for any breach by MKS of tis waranty ‘The purchaser, before retuming any equipment covered by this warranty, which fs ‘asserted to be defective by the purchaser, shall make speciic witen arrangements with reepect to the responsibilty for shipping the equipment and handling any other incidental charges with the MKS sales representative or distrbutor from which the {equipment wes purchased cr, n the case ofa direct purchase from MKS, withthe MKS. ‘home office in Andover, Massachusetts, USA. ‘This warranty does not apply to any equipment which has not been installed and used in accordance with the specications recommended by MKS forthe proper and normal Use of the equipment. MKS shall not be fable under any creumetances for indect, ‘special, consequential, or incidental damages in connection with, or arising out of, the ‘sale, performance, or use o the equipment covered by this waranty [MKS recommends that all MKS pressure and flow products be calibrated periodically (typically every 6 to 12 months) to ensure accurate readings. When a product is Fetumed to MKS for this periodic recalibration It is considered normal preventative maintenance not covered by any waranty.
