Spring Semester 2017 Religion, Women, and Violence in a Global Perspective Research Project
Christianity and Stress Among Young Black Women Attending Spelman College
Used survey questions from a previous study to create a survey to measure reported stress, belief
in God(s), interpretation of the Bible, and perceived importance of religion
Administered survey to a convenience sample of 8 participants at Spelman College
Conducted three one-way ANOVAs
Produced a research paper and presented research to class for class credit

Escaping the shadows: Construction, control, and recognition of identity in the Caribbean Coast of
