Peer Review by Hunter Moreno for Jessa Whitley

Rhetorical Awareness
This editorial attends to the audience of an LA or NY Times reader. The
author focuses on persuading the readers to believe their argument and
change the way that plagiarism is addressed prior to the problem.

Ethical Research
The editorial follows the MLA guidelines to quoting and paraphrasing. The
author uses correct in-text citations, and, so far, they use a variety of sources.

Support/Evidence
The editorial has relevant and specific evidence to support their argument.
This solid evidence helps to convince the reader to side with the author
without being biased.

Organization
So far, the paper is organized to allow the reader to have an easy, smooth
comprehension of their argument. The author uses organizational devices
such as headings and an introduction. However, I think that each section
might benefit from paragraph breaks.

Language
The language is concise and effective letting the research and the author
convince the audience to think about why students plagiarize. The author
does this in a way that respects diversity and does not promote or use bigotry
or biased language.

Design
The editorial uses the design that is used in the LA and NY Times. This is
effective for readers who do not like to read a simple essay.
