LAURA. From the Paradise Dance Hall across the alley.
JIM. (Re-entering room, closing door R., crosses to Laura.) How
about cutting the rug a little, Miss Wingheld? Or is your program
filled up? Let me take a look at it. (Crosses back c. Music, in
dance ball, goes into a waltz, Business bere with imaginary dance-
program card.) Oh, say! Every dance is taken! I'll just scratch
