The first essay I chose to revise and reflect on is about languages and cultures.

Getting this essay

revised and revising it myself helped me understand what I should add and change. Before getting

this essay revised I didnt have a clear counterargument. I had to explain what this whole language

idea is all about with my resources coming from Gloria Anzaldua to back up my thesis and topics.

I know I had to add in some websites and resources to back up what I wanted to come across which

was a counterargument about different languages. My first paragraph was very clear. My second

paragraph needed some sources to explain what I was talking about and fix some grammatical

errors along with the third paragraph. My fourth paragraph is about different thoughts that people

portray on women. For example, some men think just because they cant speak English or try to

do things should stay at home, when in reality women shouldnt be doing this at all because they

have a voice and should speak up for themselves on what they should or shouldnt do. Throughout

the rest of my paragraphs and conclusion I gave out more information about the main topic, and

also explained what Gloria Anzaldua meant by her quotes that she stated in her article. I learned

how to add in the works cited at the very end and being able how to create one. I now understand

how to work on mistakes that I didnt know how to do before revising this essay.
