Dear Mr. Mitchell,

Did you know that the Illini 4000 cyclists have raised over $100,000 every year for cancer
research since you last wrote about them in 2010?

The Illini 4000 members are in the midst of their annual 4,000-mile bike ride from Central
Park in New York City to the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco. As you remember, the
riders interview people whose lives have been affected by cancer. We do this each year in
as a way of documenting the American cancer experience while raising money for cancer
research and patient support services.

The team will be in Champaign on June 7, 2017. I know you have written about us in the
past, and I think it would be a great for the community of Champaign-Urbana to receive an
update on our progress and our furthering of our mission.

If you are interested, I can arrange a meeting between yourself and any number of our
team members. The riders will arrive in Champaign around 4:30 PM. In the evening they
will be conducting portraits with the local people of Champaign who have been affected by
cancer. You are more than welcome to sit in on these sessions and interview the riders
afterwards.

You can contact me at ctrevi2@illinois.edu or at (773)777-3333. I look forward to hearing

from you.

Sincerely,

Dear Ms. Luc,

Its that time of year again! The Illini 4000 is making their annual stop in Chicago on June
10, 2017.

I know you covered our organization last year and I think it would be a great for the city of
Chicago to receive an update on our progress and our furthering of our mission.

The Illini 4000 members are in the midst of their annual 4,000 mile bike ride from Central
Park in New York City to the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco. Along the way our riders
interview people whose lives have been affected by cancer and raise money for cancer
research and patient support services.

A meeting between yourself and any of our riders can be easily arranged. You can take a
look at all of our riders at http://illini4000.org/riders/ to help you get a better idea of who
you would be most interested in speaking with.

If you are interested in writing a story you can contact me at ctrevi2@illinois.edu or at
