Silence

The trees moan,

The river flows.
The bridges groan,
The wind blows.
The words leaving
The page I see,
Instead of cleaving
To the story.
All is alive.
Even when it seems not
That all things thrive
In this lovely cot.
When it seems the worlds asleep,
There is still one who makes a peep.
