This website provides the current regulations that are being enforced in the United States in the
Cosmetic industry. From the website one can note of the fact that there are currently only 3
regulations that are being enforced. This website also provides the dates of when the
regulations were implemented. This resource best corresponds to the first question that states
what regulations are currently being enforced.

This website article describes the ingredients found in the UK cosmetic industry, and includes
ingredients that have been forbidden to use in their country. This website also provides the UK
regulations for the industry. This resource best corresponds to the question of policy,
considering that the UK cosmetic products must be assessed for safety by a duly qualified
safety assessor before it is made available to the public. This provides a strict regulation that
the United States would be able to adopt.
