For a lab in biology, the class was to do a paper chromatography by cutting a piece of paper

into a square , then getting a piece of a green leaf and rolling it up, next we start rolling a
penny, with force, over the green part of the leaf. The class next was to put the paper into a
cylinder filled with alcohol, which then after approximately 10 minutes, the alcohol pushed the
pigment farther up the paper and once the pigment stopped the solvent moved even farther up
the paper. We measured the distance the pigment and the alcohol travel and put the data into a
graph.
