Splash! is a book of lyric poetry. This poetry book describes the different elements of water
and the shapes, sizes and forms it can transfer into. A funky and interesting wording was
located on page seventeen, I think it's lucky somebody, somewhere, took the trouble to fit it
all in one good word and named it bubble, BUBBLE! The imagery illustration of blue bubble
that blends in to the faded blue page no border just a fade relaxing fade blue color.

Explain how the book appeals to children, their interests, developmental levels, fun
illustrations etc. Give specific examples from the book:

The appeal to children is the fact that children like learning about things that they are familiar
such as water. The story also introduces the children to small amounts of science that can be
used during their lifetime. This book has a common theme and exposes children to the things
that water can do which might become very interesting to them. It also explains how water
comes in many elements and how temperature plays a factor. That fact that snowflakes could
be edible is good information for a child to store in his or her database. By looking on page
thirty-two this illustration as follows shows tan blues in color, small dark blue writing on the
page with falling snow flakes which are edible.

This was a good read it gave students at a younger age a brief introduction to science and a close up
encounter on how water can act and it different forms. In this poetry book water became a very
important element and the multiple forms were very interesting.
