The alarm will sound for 45 seconds if any of the buttons are not pressed. EMERGENCY KEY Emergency key Unlock V Push the knob downwards to release the emergency key. Use the emergency key if the Smart Key battery is weak or if the Smart Entry function does not operate properly. SMART ENTRY (if equipped) LOCK/UNLOCK DOORS Request switch’ &, Lock Var a Unlock Operating range may vary according to surrounding conditions. + Keyless entry (Remote): Within 3 metres from centre of vehicle. + Smart entry: Within approximately 80cm from outer door handle. PUSH START/STOP BUTTON (if equipped) ‘Switch Indicator The Push Start/Stop Button allows you to start and stop the engine without inserting a key into ignition. Automatic Transmission TO STOP ENGINE The engine will stop when you: + Press and hold the Push Start/Stop Button for more than 3 seconds or; + Press the Push Start/Stop Button more than 3 times. SMART ENTRY & PUSH START/STOP BUTTON (if equipped) TO CHANGE ENGINE MODE Automatic Transmission Manual Transmission will change the engine mode. When brake pedal (for AT) or clutch pedal (for MT) is not depressed, pressing the Push Start/Stop Button SWITCHING ENGINE ON WHEN SMART KEY BATTERY IS WEAK 6 @ For AT: Move the gear shift to'P* while depressing the brake pedal. For MT: Move the gear shift to'N' while depressing the clutch pedal . @ Touch the Push Start/Stop Button with the Smart Key until the buzzer sounds and the Switch Indicator turns green. © Press the Push Start/Stop Button within 4 seconds of the buzzer sounding and the Switch Indicator turning green. SETTING UP ‘SMART LINK’ FOR ANDROID CONNECT BLUETOOTH TO ENABLE SMART LINK AUDIO @ Activate Bluetooth on your Android device and pair it with the Multimedia System to enable ‘Smart Link’ Audio* @ ‘Smart Link’ connection requires you to enable ‘Developer Options’. Seat belt reminder light flashes when driver's, seat belt is fastened, and/or does not flash when driver's seat belt is not fastened. Door ajar warning light turns on when the driver's door is closed, and/or does not turn on when the driver's door is open. The interior light turns on when the driver's door is closed, and/or does not turn on when the driver's door is open. Door 20 HILL-START ASSIST (HSA) Hill-start Assist (HSA) helps to prevent the vehicle from rolling back when starting up again from a stopped position on an incline. @ Release the brake pedal slowly. @ Vehicle retains brake force for 4 seconds. © Accelerate to continue driving. 2 VSC & TRC SYSTEMS VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL (VSC) Keeps the vehicle stable during sudden turns or on slippery roads. TRACTION CONTROL (TRC) Assists with keeping the stability of the vehicle when accelerating on slippery roads, VSC & TRC OPERATION Front wheels skid Rear wheels skid Rear wheels skid ea With VSC: The vehicle is stabilised Without VSC: Skidding occurs 1, These situations may arise depending on road, tyre and weather conditions. 2. If there is an error, 23 WINDOW JAM PROTECTION (if equipped) The Window Jam Protection function is an auto-reverse safety feature. The window will stop rising when closing if the sensor detects an obstruction between the glass and window frame. + Tum ignition switch "ON". + Push and hold the Power Window switch down until window has opened completely. + Pull Power Window switch up until window has closed completely.
