Section 1 Overview
Many Omron products come with Smart Active Parts, which allow you to easily use the functions of the
product by just drag and drop a Smart Active Part from a library.
The Smart Active Parts have communication functions inside, so it is very easy to use them as you only
have to configure a few communication settings, like the network and node address.
! All communication addresses for the Smart Active Parts are automatically set. You only have to
specify Match No. or Unit No. of the destination device.
! The Smart Active Parts use special memory that is automatically assigned. This means that the
user memory is not affected and still available for your project.
! Setting/monitor screens for NC and DRT2 can be created simply by combining Smart Active Parts
so that they work like the dedicated tools, such as CX-Position and Configurator.
