Mahd has been super excited about

our farm visit. The more we read

about animals and played with the
animal figurines the more Mahd and
everyone else got excited about the
visit.

Prior to farm visit we set up display

about the Noah (AS) ark. Mahd along
with other chidlren decorated the
boat with different animal stickers.
We also sat up the display of
creation of the earth with lots of
animal figurines.

During discussions with Mahd we

talked about what animals live in the
farm. I asked questions i.e. what is
difference between farm animals
and other animals? Why certain
animals are kept on the farm? We
also talked about their characters.
Mahd knew that cows, ducks, dogs,
horse, sheep, pig and chicken live on
the farm and that cows produce
milk.

Then the excited day arrived and we

couldnt contain the excitement. As
soon as the children arrived at the
farm they began to look for animals.
Mahd came and asked me where
were all the animals.

Initially I thought that Mahd might

be hasitant to leave mum and
explore the farm with us. However,
that was not the case. He fully
emerged with other children and the
animals. When the farmer asked the
chidlren to feed the animals or to pat
or brush them, Mahd jumped right
in.

Alhamdullilah it has been a lovely

and informative outing for all our
children. I am looking forward to
continuing our investigation of Writen by Teacher Madiha Nov 2017
animals and insects with Mahd.
