[As all stakeholders have seen and experienced firsthand the major repair performed in February 2017 and lately in July 2017 to date 30 August 2017, involving the pamp impeller, shat sleeve and bearing, these mechanical defects could not be considered the usual defects for routine maintenance, The defects are serious and gravely affected the water production of the Mobara WTP. The mechanical defects that caused water service interruption resulted to serious water supply shortage and losses in revenue by CWASA. In view of imeversible damage and losses of revenue, and having lost confidence on the pump that you supplied and installed, Hyosung Pump, you are hereby instructed to replace the subject pump with the same capacity and charactersties as the original pump. There are atleast two (2) pumps manufacturer mentioned and suggested during the ‘meeting, same brand or manufacturer of the existing pumps atthe Intake Structure which are made in South Korea, or as suggested by NIS, Ebara pump made in Japan, or any approved equal. Aside from replacement of Pump No.2, CWASA will be at liberty to charge you for the cost of loss of revenue during the months that water service were interrupted due to defect brought about by Pump No.2.
