1. What is your prior knowledge about this topic? I had absolutely no prior knowledge of this subject

2. What problem(s) could you attempt to solve/address in connection with this topic? I could attempt to
start a petition for teachers to give less or less difficult homework to their students each day. Provide
students that are depressed due to school with tips on dealing with depression

3. How can you attempt to solve one of these problems at Poly or in the local community (not globally)?
What type of product do you anticipate completing (see ideas for final product). Give a presentation to
the teachers and students about depression and all of its after effects

4. Explain how you might spend a minimum of 10 hours outside of the school day in the community
working toward this solution. Putting together the presentations for the students and teachers about
depression. Taking surveys of the students to see how many are experiencing depression

5. Explain how you might provide evidence of your work throughout the experience. Document my work
using a phone to videotape snippets of my work and give copies of my data that was found during the
project

6. Explain any obstacles you might encounter in your attempt to address this problem. People actually
coming out and saying that they are depressed. They might be embarrassed of themselves for it.
