Temples of Majopahit

I and my friends visit the temples at Trowulan. First trip, we go to Wringinlawang

Temple. It is located in Wringinlawang Hamlet, Jati Pasar Village, Trowulan District,
Mojokerto Regency, or 11 km from Mojokerto. Wringinlawang temples is very big and
beautiful. The ticket is very cheap to visit Wringinlawang. We mush pay five thousand rupiah
per person. Legend has it that near the temple there was a big banyan tree, and the temple was
named after it (in Javanese, wringin is banyan tree, and lawang is door).

Next trip, we go to Brahu temple. It is located in Jambu Mente Hamlet, Bejijong

Village, District, Mojokerto Regency. Brahu Temple is on the left, 1.8 kilometers away from
the highway. Brahu Temple is also made of bricks. We mush pay five thousand rupiah per
person for visit Brahu tample. Some people argue that Brahu Temple is older than any other
temple in Trowulan.

Then, we go to Bajang Ratu temple. Bajang ratu Temple is situated in Kraton Hamlet,
Temon Village, Trowulan district, Mojokerto Regency. It is near from Wringinlawang
Temple. Bajangratu Temple occupies a vast area. All structures were built using bricks,
except for the stairs and the inner part of the roof. Some people believe Bajangratu temple is
one of the gates to Majapahit Palace.

Last trip, we go to Tikus temple. Tikus Temple is located in Dinuk Hamlet, Temon
Village, Trowulan district, Mojokerto Regency, East Java, 13 kilometers to the southeast of
Mojokerto. Tikus temple is also near from Bajangratu temple. The name 'Tikus' (rat) is used
by the local community. They say that the site was the den for a colony of rats. The design of
Tikus Temple resembles that of a bathing place, as it has a pool and several buildings inside
the temple precinct. That is our trip at Trowulan temples. It is very nice because Trowulan
