NEW DELHI: In-form India skipper Rohit Sharma slammed hundred off just
35 balls against Sri Lanka in the second Twenty20 International in Indore
on Friday to equal the world record held by David Miller of South Africa.

Rohit hit eight sixes and 11 fours to reach the landmark as he and his
opening partner KL Rahul toyed with hapless Sri Lanka attack.

Rohit eventually got out on 118 off 43 balls, which included 10 sixes and 12
fours. He added a record 165 runs for the opening wicket with Rahul.

It is the fastest hundred by an Indian across format. And it came after the mercurial Mumbai batsman scored his record-
extending third double ton in ODIs against the same opponent with 208 not out off 153 deliveries in the second one-day
international in Mohali.

India lead the three-match series 1-0 after winning the first match by a record 93 runs on Wednesday.
