As indicated, there are four possible reasons why Windows could not find your pninter. Most probably, you entered the wrong IP address of the printer in the previous step. If you think this may be the case, click the Back button of the window shown in Figure 3.6 to return ta the previous step Then type in the correct 1F address it you are: sure the IP address 1s correct, you will have to select your device type manually using the Device Type feature (see Figure 3 6). If the printer responds to the request from Windows with an Adapter Type, the wizard automatically selects 3 pre-determined configuration for this type fof an adapter. for cxample, the dialog hox shown in Figure 3.5 confirms thet the SNMP protacol was used successfully, and that the Protocol for the printer purt uses RAW, Port 9100.
